CTC Tayside

About CTC Tayside...

Mid-week cycling runs from Forfar.

Informal sociable rides of around 40 miles take place on a Tuesday and Friday leaving from Outdoor Store, East High Street, Forfar at 10 am.  Usually, we go somewhere for a light lunch, eg to the Joiner's Coffee Shop in Meigle, Glen Isla Golf Course, the Corn Kist at Carmyllie, Stracathro Hospital tearoom and others. Distances for the day are around 40 miles in winter depending on the weather, etc and are flexible. It is great cycling country with lots of quiet roads and lovely scenery.

Sometimes the start is altered so to be on the safe side contact the Secretary beforehand.

Do come along if you would like to join in. Numbers of folk can vary from say 4 to 15. We are a friendly lot and are always pleased to welcome newcomers.

Sunday runs from Forfar

Angus Cycling Club runs. Leave from corner of Lowson Avenue and Glamis Road at 10 am in winter (from Oct) and 9am in summer. These tend to be fast runs but they wait for newcomers! See Links for Angus Cycling Club web page.

Rides from Dundee are now established monthly on the last Saturday.
Do come along and you will be made welcome.
There are usually a range if abilities from potterers to more serious.
